Ivonne-Marie Ramos

Biography

Ivonne-Marie Ramos is a first-generation student. She graduated in May 2026 with an associate degree in political science and was engaged in campus life and in her community while a student at Middlesex College. She has been elected to serve as the Class of 2026 student representative to the Middlesex College Board of Trustees for academic year 2026-2027.

On campus, Ramos was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for students attending two-year colleges, and was involved with numerous clubs and organizations including serving as president of the French Club, programming chair for the Alpha Alpha Alpha Honor Society (for first-generation college students), and a student representative on the College’s First Gen Council. She also served as the chair of academic and professional development for the Organization of Latin Unity student organization, one of the largest on campus.

In the community, Ramos served as an intern in the Office of Housing and Human Services for the City of Perth Amboy. She was selected for participation in several summer programs including the Susan Wilson NEW Leadership NJ Program at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University during the Summer of 2025 and the Korean Language Institute at Yonsei University in South Korea, from which she recently returned.

Ramos is enrolled at Rutgers University-New Brunswick this Fall where she plans to continue her studies in political science.
