Financial Aid

Priority will be given to applications submitted by or on:

• June 1 for the Fall semester
• November 1 for the Spring semester
• April 1 for the Summer semester

(Note: Students may submit the FAFSA after the published deadlines but it is not guaranteed that their financial aid will be awarded in time for the tuition payment deadline.)

Priority will be given to those who submit documents by or on:

• Fall semester: July 1
• Winter semester: November 20
• Spring semester: December 18
• Summer semester: May 1

Priority will be given to those who submit documents by or on:

• Fall semester: November 15
• Spring semester: April 15
• Summer semester: July 15

Students must submit requests by or on:

• Fall semester: December 5
• Spring semester: April 30
• Summer semester: August 1

Note the following:

1. Non-verification student loan requests will take up to 5 business days to process from the time of submission.
2. Verification student loan requests are dependent upon when verification is completed. Once verification is completed, it can take up to 5 business days afterwards for awarding.
3. During peak periods, the processing time for a loan request can take up to 2 to 3 weeks.

The FAFSA must be received by the federal processor (not postmarked) by the dates below to be considered for state aid (the Tuition Aid Grant (TAG), Governor’s Urban Scholarship, NJ STARS, and Community College Opportunity Grant programs).

Students who received TAG during the 2025-2026 academic year:

• April 15, 2026

New applicants for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters:

• September 15, 2026

New applicants for the Spring 2027 semester only:

• February 17, 2027

Students who received TAG during 2026-2027 academic year:

• April 15, 2027

New applicants for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters:

• September 15, 2026

New applicants for the Spring 2027 semester only:

• February 15, 2027

• Fall semester: October 7, 2025
• Spring semester: February 24, 2026
• Summer semester: July 1, 2026

For students owed a refund, the Student Accounts department will begin processing refunds within 2 weeks of the scheduled disbursement date and will continue throughout the term.

Students unsure if they are owed a refund are encouraged to contact the Cashiers Office by emailing cashier_mail@middlesexcollege.edu
