Burglar Alarm

The burglar alarm at the Bookstore was set off accidentally while the Manager was in the process of closing up. A check of the Bookstore yielded negative results. #25MC00027 – Closed C.

Property Damage

Police observed that a gray metal streetlamp had been taken down near Lot #17. Subsequent to investigation, Police made contact with the driver whose vehicle came in contact with the streetlamp knocking it over. The driver was issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident. #25MC00023 – Closed C.

Medical Call

Police responded to an individual who was experiencing numbness in the leg, a rapid heartbeat and difficulty balancing. EMS transported the patient to a local hospital. #25MC00022 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Deiner Drive. The driver of Vehicle #1 was traveling westbound, passing by two school buses and came to a stop. Vehicle #2 was traveling behind Vehicle #1 and rear-ended the Vehicle #1. No injuries were reported. #25MC00021 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Police responded to a motor vehicle crash in Lot #6. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. Vehicle #2 was impounded due to lack of insurance and the driver was issued two summonses. #25MC00017 – Closed C.

Medical Call

Police responded to the College Center for an individual who had earlier slipped on ice injuring his right elbow. EMS arrived on scene to assess the patient who declined further medical treatment. #25MC00016 – Closed C.

Police responded to an individual who had slipped on ice and injured his ankle. EMS arrived on scene and transported the patient to a local hospital. #25MC00014 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Stop

A motor vehicle stop was conducted when Police observed a vehicle driving the center lines of Otlowski Drive and a temporary Delaware tag of the vehicle was showing expired as of 9/2024. Fraud

An individual reported to Police that he received two emails from a person claiming to be from Middlesex College. One email offered a job position and the second email requested banking information. The I.T. Department was notified and has flagged the account. #25MC00009 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

Police responded to a fire alarm activation in the Instructional Resource Center. No smoke or fire was present. Police observed a fire panel pulled in the downward position. The Fire Department arrived on scene and the alarm was reset. The individual who pulled the alarm was identified. #25MC00008 – CSC.

Fraud

An individual received an email from a Middlesex College email account with a job offer and then received a second email from a Gmail account with instructions to cash an electronically sent check and purchase gift cards with the money. Theft

While conducting a walkthrough of Raritan Hall, Police were advised of a theft of 36 snack items from room RH 127. This is currently under investigation. #25MC00006 – Open. UPDATE 1/29/25: No charges filed due to restitution. Closed – C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Vehicle #1 was traveling westbound on Otlowski Drive while Vehicle #2 was at a complete stop on Otlowski Drive. Vehicle #1 then made a complete stop and at this time Vehicle 2 reversed and struck Vehicle #1’s front bumper. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported. #25MC00005 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

Police responded to L’Hommedieu Hall for a fire alarm in Room 105. A staff member reported that while cleaning lab equipment with the use of chemicals, the fire alarm was set off. The Fire Department arrived on scene to investigate for any signs of fire and the alarm was reset. #25MC00004 – Closed – C.

Fire Alarm

While on routine patrol, MCPD heard an audible alarm coming from Mill Gate. The Fire Department was notified. The alarm was in test mode due to construction taking place outside the building. Upon confirming there was no active fire, all units cleared the scene. 25MC00001 – Closed C.

Police responded to the Bus Route for an individual who had fallen and hit his head. EMS was called to the scene and transported the patient to a local hospital. 24MC00351 – Closed C.

Emotionally Disturbed Person

Police responded to the Bus Route outside of College Center for a individual who was emotionally disturbed. The patient requested transport to a hospital. EMS responded to the scene, assessed the patient and transported the patient to a local hospital. #24MC00348 – Closed C.

Police responded to Parking Lot #6A on the report of alleged drones flying over the campus. After enhanced patrol of the area, no apparent or clear drone sightings were seen. #24MC00346 – Closed C.

Medical Call

Police responded to Facilities Management on the report of an individual who was injured. The patient was loading a machine onto the bed of a truck and the machine moved causing the individual to fall. The patient declined EMS and requested an ice pack. Welfare Check

After receiving a concerning email from a student who abruptly stopped attending class, a request was made for a welfare check. With the assistance of an outside agency, contact was made with the individual. Nothing further to report at this time. #24MC00343 – Closed C.

Suspicious Activity

While conducting a walkthrough of Crabiel Hall, Police came upon flyers soliciting for a gofundme account. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the flyers were not authorized to be displayed and were removed. #24MC00342 – Closed C.
