Fire Alarm

Police responded to East Hall for a fire alarm activation possibly set off by smoke/dust from a weed whacking device being used outside the building. The Fire Department arrived on scene and reset the alarm. #2023-00132810 – Closed C.

Assist Citizen

Police responded to Chambers Hall on the report of a verbal dispute. No threats or physical altercation took place. This is for documentation purposes only. #I-2023-013147 – Closed C.

Medical

Police responded to the softball field on the report of an individual having an asthma attack. Police administered oxygen to stabilize the patient and EMS arrived on scene for further evaluation. The patient was transported to a local hospital. #I-2023-012839 – Closed C.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

While on patrol, Police observed a red sedan circling Lot #6A. Contact was made with the driver who was apparently lost and having difficulty navigating the roadway. Due to the late hour and not being able to contact a taxi service, a courtesy transport was provided. #I-2023-012830 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

An exterior fire alarm of Center II was activated. Police arrived on scene and after making their way into the building, were not able to detect any odor of smoke. Medical Call

Police responded to West Hall on the report of a College employee who began having issues with vision loss. The patient was transported off campus via a family member. #I-2023-012419 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

Police responded to CC Room #209 for a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, a Vaporizer odor was detected and it had triggered the fire alarm. The Fire Department arrived on scene for further investigation. #I-2023-012048 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

The driver of Vehicle #! was backing out of a parking and struck Vehicle #2 which was waiting to exit. No injuries were reported. #I-2023-012371 – Closed C.

Warrant Arrest

After parking in a handicapped lot without proper documentation, it came to light that there was an active warrant out for the registered owner. The subject was issued a court date and released on his own recognizance.  #I-2023-011879 – Closed A.

Damaged Property

An MC putter (#14) sustained a broken driver side mirror when the driver attempted to pass a pick-up truck which was parked on the concrete sidewalk by JLC. No injuries were reported. #I-2023-011774 – Closed C.

Police responded to Lot #6A on the report of an active physical altercation. Upon investigation, it was determined that no physical altercation had taken place though there was a verbal dispute. Police responded to Center IV for a fire alarm activation. The exterior strobes were activated and an audible alarm was heard though there was no smoke or fire observed. Medical Call

A Maintenance staff member reported to police that while working, the tailgate of the work van dropped on his fingers. The patient sustained injuries to the left ring and middle fingers. First aid was provided and the patient was transported to a local hospital. #I-2023-011304 – Closed C.

At approximately 6:53 pm, an individual came to Headquarters to report that earlier in the day she had fallen out of her office chair while attempting to pick something up. The chair toppled over causing the individual to experience back and hip pain. Medical attention was refused at this time. #I-2023-010777 – Closed C.

While browsing the computer, a faculty member was redirected to a fraudulent Microsoft website which claimed that her computer was hacked and to contact an individual named David William. Criminal Mischief

Someone had written on the elevators of Instructional Resource Center with chalk. The custodial staff was able to remove the writing with no damage to the elevator. #I-2023-010452 – Closed C.

Police responded to West Hall on the report of an individual who felt faint. The patient was pale and sweating. EMS transported the patient to a local hospital. #I-2023-010433 – Closed C.

Burglar Alarm

Police responded to the Blue Colt Bookstore for a report of an activated burglar alarm. Upon investigation, it was determined that the alarm was activated in-error. There was no disturbance or unlawful entry and all entrances into the building were secured. #I-2023-010165 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Vehicle #1 sideswiped a pole on the pathway/sidewalk traveling east between West Hall and the Bus Route. The vehicle sustained substantial damage to the rear right cargo door, as well as, moderate damage to the right front passenger door. No injuries were reported. #I-2023-010086 – Closed C.

Medical Call

A College Maintenance worker was on the footpath near Center III when he was stung by a bee near his left eye. First aid was applied. The patient refused further medical treatment. #I-2023-010083 – Closed C.

Police responded to an individual who had been stung by a bee on the top of the head. EMS was called to the scene to assist the patient who was experiencing numbness to the face. The patient declined transport to the hospital. #I-2023-009924 – Closed C.
