Emotionally Distressed

Police responded to an individual who was experiencing a mental health crisis. EMS arrived on scene and after speaking with the patient, the patient was voluntarily transported to a local hospital. #2023-00225156 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Police responded to Lot #3 regarding a motor vehicle crash. The driver of Vehicle #1 stated that while backing out of a parking stall, he struck Vehicle #2. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported. #2023-00221531 – Closed C.

Theft

An individual reported to Police that while in class her left Airpod was stolen. The victim believes someone took it while she was busy speaking with the instructor. #2023-00330564 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

The driver of Vehicle #1 was attempting to park in an empty stall in Lot #1 when her vehicle was rear-ended by Vehicle #2. Vehicle #1 sustained moderate damage to the right-side rear bumper. Vehicle #2 sustained no visible damage. #2023-00219545 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Vehicle #1 was pulling into a parking stall in Lot #4 when it struck Vehicle #2. Both vehicles sustained damage but were drivable. No injuries were reported. #2023-00216345 – Closed C.

Verbal Dispute

Police responded to College Center on the report of a verbal dispute between a male and two females. Subsequent to investigation, it was determined that there was a misunderstanding in communication between the parties. No further police action taken. #2023-00215632 – Closed C.

An individual reported to Police that she was being harassed by a classmate via phone, social media and in person. A light fixture fell and hit an individual in the head in West Hall. The patient went to Mill Gate due to feeling lightheaded. An ice pack was provided. Upon Police arrival, the patient stated feeling better and did not wish to have EMS on scene. #2023-00215253 – Closed C.

An individual reported to police that while in College Center, an AirPods case fell out of her pocket. After locating the case, the earpieces were no longer inside. Criminal Trespass

Police responded to Main Hall on the report of an individual selling candy on campus. The subject was issued a Defiant Trespass for soliciting and was escorted to the Bus Route where he boarded the 813 Bus to Metuchen. #2023-00213718 – Closed A.

An individual was taken into custody subsequent to a motor vehicle stop for failure to yield to pedestrians turned up a warrant for arrest for failure to appear. #2023-00213584 – Closed A.

Theft by Deception

An individual reported to police that he was approached by three subjects asking for donations. The victim offered a sum of money. After reconsidering his donation and requesting the monies be returned, one of the subjects grabbed the victim’s cellphone and attempted to withdraw monies from his Venmo account. Theft By Deception

An individual was approached by four men in a white van seeking donations. When the victim took out his wallet, one of the subjects grabbed a $20 bill from it and offered to give him change but then offered him candy and left with the $20 bill. #2023-00212718 – Closed C.

Medical Call

An individual stating feeling hot and subsequently losing consciousness. The patient fainted and hit her head in the process.  The patient refused medical treatment and was transported off campus by a family member. #2023-00212653 – Closed C.

Medical Call

Police responded to Crabiel Hall for an alert and conscious male had suffered a seizure. Upon arrival, the patient was sitting upright on a bench and stated that he is susceptible to this condition. EMS arrived and examined the patient who refused any further medical attention. #2023-00212546 -Closed C.

Fire Alarm

A pull station near the Student Life Office in College Center was pulled causing an active fire alarm. The building was evacuated. The fire department arrived on scene and reset the panel and determined the building was safe for re-entry. #2023-00211816 – Closed C.

Assist Citizen

Two males were cat calling two females walking toward the Library. The females rebuked their advances and the males got verbally nasty with the victims. The females, who felt uncomfortable, reported this to a staff member who then notified police. The suspects left the scene before Police arrived.  #2023-00208565 – Closed C.

Police responded to the College Center on the report of an individual who had fallen. The patient sustained abrasions to the chin, forehead, right knee and hands.  Medical services were declined. No further was taken. #2023-00208339 – Closed – C.

Fire Alarm

Police responded to Main Hall for an active fire alarm. The building was evacuated. The alarm came from the Main Hall bathroom possibly set off by a vape pen.  The Fire Department arrived on scene and reset the alarm. The occupants were allowed back into the building.
