Fire Alarm

Police responded to an active fire alarm at College Center. Upon entering, there were no signs of smoke or fire. The Fire Department arrived on scene and reset the alarm. The occupants were allowed back in the building. #24MC00073 – Closed C.

Suspicious Person

Police were dispatched to the College Center on the report of a suspicious individual who was observed in The Corral at an event which was currently in process. The person in question was asked to leave and proceeded to do so without further incident. #24MC00072 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

Police responded to the College Center on the report of a fire alarm activation. The building was evacuated and it was determined that someone had pulled the alarm near the cafeteria. The Fire Department arrived on scene and the alarm was reset. Occupants were allowed back in the building. #24MC00070 – Closed C.

Theft

Police responded to the Library on the report of a theft of an electric scooter which had been left in College Center ground level. After class, the victim noticed two males riding the scooter at the front lobby of Main Hall. The victim was able to retrieve the scooter without incident. #24MC00067 – Closed C.

Police responded to L’Hommedieu Hall on the report of an individual who was experiencing dizziness. EMS arrived on scene as well and transported the patient to a local hospital. #MC00064 – Closed C.

An individual reported to police that he left his backpack in the lounge area of College Center unattended for several minutes. Upon his return, the backpack was no longer there. Emotionally Distressed

Police responded to Edison Hall on the report of an individual who was emotionally distressed. Upon arrival, it was determined that the individual was actually calling in from off campus. Police were able to make contact with an outside agency to assist. #MC00053 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

While cleaning a machine in the Dental Hygiene Clinic, a smoke detector was set off. The Fire Department arrived on scene to reset the fire panel. Occupants were allowed re-entry into the building. #24MC00049 – Closed C.

Emotionally Distressed

Police were notified of an individual with suicidal ideations believed to be on campus. Upon conducting a thorough search, the individual could not be located. Notification and request for mutual aid went to surrounding police agencies. #24MC00045 – Open Case.

Police responded to the Physical Education Center for a suspicious persons call. It was reported that an unknown male came into the PEC and was acting suspicious. Police were dispatched to West Hall for an individual who had fainted. Upon arrival, the patient was conscious and breathing. The patient stated feeling dizzy but did not recall fainting. Police were dispatched to Lot #1 on the report of a motor vehicle crash. Both drivers stated they were backing out of their respective parking spaces and did not see the other vehicle until the collision. Both vehicles sustained minor damage to the rear bumpers. Facilities personnel notified MCPD that there were multiple stickers placed on the mirror in the men’s restroom of Main Hall. The stickers had been removed before police were notified, but pictures of the damage were taken and provided for investigative purposes. #24MC00030 – Open Case.
