Medical Call

An individual was experiencing pain and discomfort in the left forearm and having difficulty making a fist after moving a filing cabinet. The patient advised that he would be following up with an evaluation by a physician. #23MC00196 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Police were flagged down by a student in Parking Lot #1 for a motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported on scene and all persons involved refused medical attention. #23MC00193 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

Police responded to College Center for an active fire alarm. Upon arrival, police entered the restroom where the alarm was coming from and detected an odor of a vape pen which likely caused the alarm activation. The Fire Department arrived on scene and reset the alarm. #23MC00191 – Closed C.

Medical Call

A individual fell and hit her face against a filing cabinet resulting in bruising/swelling to the left cheek. The patient was given an ice pack prior to police arrival. EMS was called to the scene. The patient refused further medical attention. #23MC00187 – Closed C.

Medical Call

Police responded to the area outside the Bookstore to assist a female who had injured her back. The patient stated hurting her back due to a heavy book bag. EMS evaluated the patient who refused further medical attention. #23MC00186 – Closed C.

Medical Call

Police responded to L’Hommedieu Hall on the report of an individual who pierced her right finger with a sharp instrument. The patient refused EMS at the scene. No further action taken, #23MC00183 – Closed C.

Medical Call

Police responded to Crabiel Hall on the report of an individual who had fallen down the stairs. EMS was called to the scene and transported the patient to a local hospital. #MC00182 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

While on patrol, Police heard an audible fire alarm coming from College Center. Upon entering the building, Police were informed by MC custodial staff that the alarm was coming from the first floor men’s restroom. There was an odor of burnt marijuana throughout the room. Medical Call

Police responded to Facilities Management on the report of an individual who had fallen. Upon arrival, they met with the patient who had tripped, hitting her head. There was minor bruising under the right eye. The patient accepted an ice pack but refused further medical treatment. #23MC00172 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

An individual reported to Police that he parked his vehicle in Lot #4 and upon returning to the vehicle, observed damage to the front left side bumper. #23MC00171 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Police responded to Lot #6 for a belated hit and run. The driver parked the vehicle around 7:45 am and upon returning to the vehicle at approx. 12:20 pm, observed damage consistent with a sideswipe. There was moderate damage from the rear driver-side door which extended to the rear quarter panel. #2023-00236390 – Closed C.

Police were dispatched to L’Hommedieu Hall on the report of an individual who was feeling faint. EMS arrived on scene and evaluated the patient who declined further medical attention. #2023-00236228 – Closed C.

Theft

While investigating a separate incident, Police observed two females enter a restricted area of College Center and shoplift several items. The subjects entered the area of The Winner’s Circle, took merchandise and left without paying. Both individuals were issued summons and charges were submitted for Code of Student Conduct. #2023-00234235 – CSC.

Harassment/Bias Incident

An individual stated that while sitting in College Center, she was approached by two females who tried to instigate a fight by calling her names. While on routine patrol, police observed the gate arm for Lot #15 was missing and the end broken. Upon investigation, it was determined that a dumpster was delivered to the lot and in doing so, the gate arm was damaged. #2023-00229336 – Closed C.
