Fire Alarm

While in the process of cleaning ducts/vents in College Center, a smoke detector set off the fire alarm. The building was evacuated. After the Fire Department arrived on scene, the panel was reset and the occupants allowed back into the building. #24MC00279 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

A fire alarm was activated due to a faulty smoke detector head in the Johnson Learning Center and the building was evacuated. The equipment was changed and the panel reset. The building was deemed safe for re-entry. #24MC00276 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Vehicle #1 was proceeding forward and merging with traffic on College Drive East when traffic abruptly stopped for pedestrians in the crosswalk. Vehicle #1 then sideswiped Vehicle #2. #24MC00274 – Closed C.

An individual sustained a bruised arm while playing basketball resulting in numbness in the arm. Police provided the patient with an ice pack. The patient refused further medical care. #24MC00273 – Closed C.

After falling on the path by Edison Hall, an individual was treated at the scene with an ice pack until EMS arrived. After being evaluated, the patient declined further medical attention. #24MC00272 – Closed C.

Police responded to South Hall for an individual possibly having a severe allergic reaction after detecting an odor of peanut butter. The patient was able to quickly relocate to another area. EMS evaluated the patient who refused additional medical treatment. #24MC00271 – Closed C.

Police responded to the Physical Education for an individual who had possibly dislocated his thumb. EMS transported the patient to a local hospital. #24MC00264 – Closed C.

Police responded to Center 2 on a report of an activated fire alarm panel. The Fire Department arrived on scene and the panel was reset. No fire or smoke was present. #24MC00260 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Police responded to an MVA on College Drive East. Vehicle #1 was exiting Lot #4 attempting to turn left, when it struck Vehicle #2 which was heading northbound. Vehicle #1 then spun and struck Vehicle #3 which was traveling southbound. No injuries were reported. #24MC00257 – Closed C.

Verbal Dispute

After a verbal altercation with an NJ Transit bus driver, the subject was removed from the bus without incident. #24MC00254 – Closed C.

Upon receiving a threatening text message at home, an individual reported it to local authorities. Report was made to MCPD for documentation purposes. #24MC00255 – Closed C.

Property Damage

It was reported to Police on Oct. 13, 2024, that the chain connected to the lock which secures the tennis court was snapped. The person reporting the incident had learned of it on Oct. 6, 2024. Appropriate Facilities personnel were notified. #24MC00251 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

While traveling on College Drive East after entering the College from Woodbridge Avenue, Vehicle #1 collided into the rear bumper of Vehicle #2 after an uninvolved vehicle made an improper U-Turn causing a sudden delay in traffic. #MC00246 – Closed C.

Suspicious Person

An individual reported to police that while parked in Lot 6A she observed a male exit his vehicle and urinate by a set of bushes. As he turned around, he was exposed before stepping back into his vehicle and driving away. A canvass of the area yielded negative results. #24MC00244 – Closed C.

Damaged Property

An MC custodian was backing up a college putter when it struck a parked putter. There was minimal damage to each and both were functioning. #24MC00242 – Closed C.

Verbal Dispute

Two individuals became involved in a verbal dispute over a vehicle which was double parked on the roadway. Both parties left the scene after documenting the incident. #24MC00237 – Closed C.

Police responded to South Hall for an individual who was experiencing dizziness and feeling faint. The patient was treated at the scene and refused further medical assistance. #24MC00235 – Closed C.

Vehicle #2 was exiting Lot #4 attempting to make a left turn when it was struck by Vehicle #1 traveling south bound on College Drive East. Vehicle #1 sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene. #24MC00234 – Closed C.

Suspicious Individual

An unknown individual drove onto the sidewalk behind the PE Center and attempted to interact with members of a sport’s team. The coach approached the suspect, who quickly concluded the conversation and drove off. A search of the immediate area yielded negative results. #24MC00233 – Closed C.
