Fire Alarm

Police responded to Chambers Hall for an activated fire alarm. MC Facilities Department had installed a replacement smoke detector that was later determined to be defective. Medical Call

Police responded to the Instructional Resource Center for an individual who was not feeling well. The patient was experiencing signs of possible dehydration. EMS assessed the patient, who then refused further medical assistance. #24MC00158 – Closed C.

Theft

An individual reported to police that while parked in Lot 6 someone removed antifreeze, motor oil, a can opener and a social security card from the vehicle. The victim contacted the Social Security Administration regarding the stolen card. #24MC00154 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Vehicle #1 was proceeding straight on College Drive East and Woodbridge Avenue, when it was struck by Vehicle #2 which changed lanes without warning. No injuries were reported. #24MC00153 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

Police and Fire Department responded to Center 4 for an activated fire alarm. The alarm was activated in-error and reset. After a safety inspection of the building, it was deemed safe to occupy. #24MC00148 – Closed C.

Arrest

Subsequent to conducting a motor vehicle stop for an improper U-Turn, a driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant. The individual was processed and released on his own recognizance. #24MC00142 – Closed A.

Medical Call

Police responded to South Hall for an individual who had fallen. Upon arrival, the patient stated feeling a sharp pain in the left leg causing the patient to fall and hit both the left hip and her head on the floor. EMS provided additional assistance. The patient refused further medical attention. #24MC00141 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

Police reported an activated fire alarm in College Center. Occupants were evacuated from the building. The Fire Department arrived on scene and were able to re-set the fire panel. #24MC00132 – Closed C.

Medical Call

Police responded to Main Hall on the report of an individual who was experiencing chest tightness, as well as elevated heart rate. EMS responded to the scene; the patient was transported off campus by a family member. #24MC00129 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Vehicle #1 was exiting the parking lot onto Parkside Drive as Vehicle #2 was entering. Vehicle #1 struck Vehicle #2. #24MC00125 – Closed C.

Damaged Property

Facilities personnel reported that while driving a Club Car towards Main Hall along a designated path in front of College Center, the wheel locked up forcing the Club Car off the roadway, striking a bench in front of Studio Theater. No injuries were reported. #24MC00124 – Closed C.

Fire Alarm

Police responded to the Johnson Learning Center on the report of an activated fire alarm coming from a secured location. The Fire Department arrived on scene and believed the activation was caused by a faulty head. The alarm was reset and Facilities personnel notified. #24MC00121 – Closed C.

Disturbance

Police responded to Main Hall on the report of individuals who had been driving a golf cart (college property) around the outside area of the building. Possible individuals involved were located on the couches in Main Hall. Two of four suspects were identified. This is an open case. #24MC00120 – Open.

Theft

A staff member from the Edison Magnet School reported that gym equipment was stolen. While preparing for class, the staff member reported several boxes containing metal components, along with a silver metal pole for Disc Golf Goal were missing. There are currently no known suspects. #24MC00119 – Closed C.

Medical Call

Police responded to the baseball field behind the PEC on the report of an individual having rib pain along with nausea and difficulty breathing. The patient was alert and conscious. EMS arrived on scene and transported the patient to a local hospital. #24MC00117 – Closed C.

Police responded to L’Hommedieu Hall on the report of an individual who was experiencing swelling in the hands and legs. The patient reported having been in a motor vehicle accident off-campus earlier that day with airbag deployment. EMS arrived on scene to evaluate the patient who then declined further medical treatment. #24MC00107 – Closed C.

Police responded to Crabiel Hall on the report of an individual who was having difficulty breathing possibly due to an anxiety attack. EMS arrived on scene and evaluated the patient who then refused further medical attention. #24MC00106 – Closed C.

Police responded to Edison Hall on the report of an individual who was experiencing dizziness and lightheadedness. EMS arrived on scene and transported the patient to a local hospital. #24MC00105 – Closed C.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the entrance to the College. Vehicle #3 attempted to stop but rear-ended Vehicle #2 which struck Vehicle #1 from behind. Suspicious Person

An individual reported to police that she was approached by two unknown females outside College Center who were requesting her personal information. The victim felt uncomfortable with the interaction and reported such to MCPD. #24MC00103 – Closed C.

Harassment

An individual reported to police that she was being harassed. The victim was advised of her right to press charges and provided information for filing a temporary restraining order, if she chose to do so. #24MC00100 – Open Case.

Criminal Mischief

An individual reported to police that while his vehicle was parked in Lot #6, it sustained damage to the passenger side mirror. The mirror was shattered and there was, what appeared to be, dried blood on the broken glass. There are currently no known suspects or witnesses. #24MC00095 – Closed C.
