Fraud

An individual received an email from a Middlesex College email account with a job offer and then received a second email from a Gmail account with instructions to cash an electronically sent check and purchase gift cards with the money. The victim realized that it was a scam and discontinued contact with the individual. The I.T. Department was already aware of the incident. #25MC00012 – Closed C.
