Bhavishya Chittala, who graduated in May with an associate degree in Business Administration, was elected to serve as student representative to the Board of Trustees for academic year 2024–2025. Her term is effective July 1.
“My goal is to give voice to what students are doing and experiencing and making sure they are seen,” said Bhavishya Chittala about her responsibilities as a member of the Middlesex College Board of Trustees.
Chittala says that she is well prepared for this leadership role thanks to her participation in student clubs.
“I was basically a social hermit when I started Middlesex. But everything changed after I started joining clubs and taking up leadership positions.”
One of the many highlights of Chittala’s Middlesex College experience came when she served as president of the Business Club and led the club to a win at the New Jersey County College Case Competition hosted by Rutgers Business School – Newark.
“It was at Middlesex that I found that leadership suited me very well and found a nice group of friends at the same time.”
Chittala will pursue a bachelor of science in finance at Rutgers Business School – New Brunswick this fall.
“I really want to keep going with my education. For sure I am getting my master’s and maybe even a Ph.D. A lot of my professors at Middlesex have provided guidance when it comes to getting a doctorate. It’s always been my passion to teach and that is my end goal.”
