Shivi Madhukar has a master’s degree in public administration with specialization in Public Policy from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service. She is the Director of a New Jersey-focused research group and has worked in the field of public policy, applied statistics and research for about two decades. She has worked on many different qualitative and quantitative research projects centered on informing policy to ameliorate conditions of residents experiencing poverty and deprivation in New Jersey. Her work involves all levels of data analysis – right from framing data collection strategies to analyzing research findings and writing reports including providing policy solutions.
Shivi is trained in quantitative research methods and has a deep interest in understanding issues impacting student attainment. She has been involved with, and actively participated in K-12 education-related matters in her town since 2010 and has served two terms on the Edison Board of Education, including one year as Vice President in 2022. Prior to serving on the Board, Shivi was actively involved with the School PTO’s including serving as Co-President.
Shivi also serves on the Middlesex County Ethics Board.
