Through a generous investment in Middlesex College, Rick and Lisa Gelmetti have established the Rick Gelmetti Endowed Fund for Professional Development and Teaching Enhancement to support faculty development and learning opportunities.
The fund will provide resources to enhance the quality of the College experience by providing opportunities for faculty training and teaching collaboration and will support activities at the Center for the Enrichment of Learning and Teaching (C.E.LT.). Funds will be available to faculty at all levels—full time, part time, adjunct, and tenured.
“This endowment is a powerful expression of Mr. and Mrs. Gelmetti’s belief in the transformative impact of great teaching on students’ lives,” said Lisa Kelly, executive director of the Middlesex College Foundation. “By investing in faculty excellence and innovation in the classroom, their generosity will inspire educators, elevate learning, and open new possibilities for every student touched by this gift. We are deeply grateful for this vision and commitment to strengthening the future through education.”
Rick Gelmetti, an established real estate broker and managing partner at IPIRG, has been an engaged member of the Middlesex College Foundation Board of Trustees since 2015, where he contributes his expertise on the Finance Committee. His wife, Lisa Gelmetti, is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University. Together, they strongly support higher education in their personal and professional lives.
“There was not one aha moment that made us decide to contribute to this program,” said Rick Gelmetti. “My wife and I are passionate about supporting education. So, when the opportunity presented itself to provide training to educators, it was a no-brainer.”
