As a dual admit, you will jump-start your education at Middlesex College, and upon successful completion of your associate degree, you will be guaranteed admission to Rutgers–New Brunswick. Only Middlesex College students who applied to Rutgers–New Brunswick and were offered dual admission are eligible for this program. This program is open to all schools at Rutgers–New Brunswick with the exception of the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Mason Gross School of the Arts, and Rutgers School of Nursing.
No, dual admission is not open to all Rutgers–New Brunswick schools. The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Mason Gross School of the Arts, and Rutgers School of Nursing are excluded from dual admission.
Yes. You must successfully complete your associate degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8. In addition, any student that matriculates at Rutgers–New Brunswick within four years of their original enrollment at Middlesex College will be guaranteed admission to Rutgers–New Brunswick and subject to the specific degree requirements for the applicable Rutgers–New Brunswick program. If more than four years have passed between the date of enrollment at Middlesex College and the date of matriculation at Rutgers–New Brunswick, the student will need to submit a new application as a transfer student.
All program-specific requirements and eligibility information can be found at NJTransfer.org. In addition, you will be jointly advised by Middlesex College and Rutgers–New Brunswick to ensure completion of the correct prerequisite courses.

Dual admission indicates that you start your collegiate career at Middlesex College with access to College resources and programs. Prior to the completion of your associate degree, you will be jointly advised by Rutgers–New Brunswick and Middlesex College to ensure a smooth transition. Upon successful matriculation at Rutgers–New Brunswick, you will have access to Rutgers resources, programs, and housing (if you choose to live on campus).
No. If you were previously matriculated at Rutgers–New Brunswick, part- or full-time, you are ineligible for dual admission.
