Taking place in small class settings, our faculty-guided honors experiences are project-driven, provide hands-on learning opportunities in the latest scholarship, nurtures creative thinking and help develop essential professional skills.
Our Honors Program is perfect for students who want to:
- work closely with faculty in an area of interest,
- thrive in a job market dominated by artificial intelligence and software automatization, and/or
- become a content creator for traditional publications and/or social media.
- demonstrate actual accomplishments and in-demand skills to future employers, transfer institutions, or scholarships committees.
Notably, honors courses are no more time consuming than traditional ones, and lead to real-world outcomes.
By participating in honors courses, students can demonstrate actual accomplishments and in-demand skills to future employers, transfer institutions, or scholarships committees: “I have created…” instead of “I could do…”
“Transferring to a four-year university can be extremely difficult, especially when talking about an Ivy League school, and a significant component of my application was taking honors courses. The Honors Department provides support, guidance, and the courses necessary for academic success.”
