The new partnership seeks to foster a talent pipeline through unique educational pathways and curricula for students at Middlesex College and Middlesex County Magnet Schools.
The strategic partnership, part of Middlesex County’s $25 million investment in the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center (New Jersey’s first freestanding cancer hospital scheduled for completion in late 2024), aims to meet the future workforce needs of that Center and RWJBarnabas Health by preparing students of Middlesex College and Middlesex County Magnet Schools for highly-skilled, lucrative careers in health.
Middlesex County and RWJBarnabas Health made the announcement at a press event held at Middlesex College’s campus in Edison October 19. College President Mark McCormick was among the speakers who delivered remarks about the significance of the partnership.
