When Middlesex College set out to build its new Aseptic Simulation Lab, the goal was not to create another flexible teaching laboratory. Instead, the institution aimed to design a space that would replicate the realities of professional biomanufacturing environments—down to personnel flow, equipment constraints, and contamination control—while still functioning within the physical and operational limits of a community college campus.
