Financial Aid for NJ DREAMERS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On May 9th, 2018, Governor Phil Murphy signed into law legislation that provides state financial aid assistance, such as NJ Tuition Aid Grant (TAG), NJ Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG), NJ Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF), and the NJ STARS program for eligible students that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attended a New Jersey high school for at least three (3) years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Graduated from a New Jersey high school or obtained its equivalent under New Jersey law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are able to sign an affidavit stating the you will file an application to legalize your immigration status or will file an application as soon as you are eligible to do so<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity color-primary-1 is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Students that meet the criteria at the top of this page and are not eligible to fill out a FAFSA application can apply for state aid using the NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please follow these steps to apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hesaa.org\/Pages\/NJAlternativeApplication.aspx\">Apply online through HESAA<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply for admissions to Middlesex College and follow all steps in your admissions acceptance letter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit proof you have attended a New Jersey high school for at least three (3) years (such as a high school transcript) to Middlesex College<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit proof you have graduated from a New Jersey high school (such as a final high school transcript which shows your date of graduation) or its equivalent (such as a GED certificate) to Middlesex College<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the <a href=\"\/financial-aid\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/nj-alternative-financial-aid-application-student-affidavit.pdf\">New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Affidavit<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/njfams.hesaa.org\/NJFAMS\/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fNJFAMS%2fint%2fFinAid%2findex.aspx\">Log in to NJFAMS<\/a> and see if NJ HESAA is requesting additional information<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:1px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\r\n<div class=\"section__box\" >\r\n  <div
