Is there a charge to submit a graduation application?<\/h3>\r\n \r\n <\/svg>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/a>\r\n\r\n

Effective with the summer 2023 graduation term, there is no charge when submitting an application for graduation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n

When should I apply for graduation?<\/h3>\r\n \r\n <\/svg>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/a>\r\n\r\n

If you have completed a minimum of 45 credits within your program you should apply for graduation. Please be sure to consult with an academic advisor to ensure that you are registering for the required courses to complete your program.<\/p>\n

Yes. It is necessary to submit your graduation application in order for your degree to be conferred even if you are not planning on participating in the commencement ceremony.<\/p>\n

Can I choose how my name appears on my diploma?<\/h3>\r\n \r\n <\/svg>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/a>\r\n\r\n

While completing your graduation application you will be asked how you would like your name to appear on your diploma. Please note that the name you provide must be in agreement with the name on your Middlesex College student record. <\/p>\n

If you wish to update your name on your Middlesex College student record,\u00a0request a personal information change<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n

When will my diploma be available?<\/h3>\r\n \r\n <\/svg>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/a>\r\n\r\n

Diplomas are available approximately 8 weeks after the graduation\/degree is conferred. Graduates will be mailed a postcard to their address of record to inform them of diploma pick-up dates. Your diploma will be available on the 1st floor of West Hall at Enrollment Services. Valid photo identification must be presented when picking up a diploma.<\/p>\n

Can I send someone else to pick up my diploma?<\/h3>\r\n \r\n <\/svg>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/a>\r\n\r\n

The graduate may send a representative to pick up the diploma. The following must be presented:<\/p>\n

  1. A letter of authorization from the graduate including the student\u2019s name, graduation date, ID # or social security #, and the name of the person you are authorizing to pick up your diploma. The letter must be signed\/dated by the graduate.<\/li>\n
  2. A photo ID of the graduate (original or copy is permitted).<\/li>\n
  3. A photo ID of the representative picking up the diploma.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n

    I am a summer (August) graduation candidate. When will my ceremony be?<\/h3>\r\n \r\n <\/svg>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/a>\r\n\r\n

    August graduation candidates are invited to participate in the May Commencement Ceremony held the following year after their graduation.<\/p>\n

    Exceptions may be made for August candidates who need no more than two summer courses<\/strong>\u00a0to complete their program requirements \u2013 email\u00a0graduation@middlesexcc.edu<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n

    Graduates wishing to order their official transcript as proof of graduation should confirm that all grades and graduation information is posted by checking their unofficial transcript through Self Service prior to ordering the transcript.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Note: Transcript updates of graduation\/degree are dependent on receipt of all final grades for courses in progress.
