Jobs in the field for those seeking immediate employment range from field crew member to CAD operator, and are typically found in surveying firms, consulting engineering firms, utility companies, and in the engineering departments of governmental agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Graduates of the program will be able to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Apply the knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of the discipline to narrowly defined engineering technology activities.<\/li><li>Apply a knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to engineering technology problems that require limited application of principles but extensive practical knowledge.<\/li><li>Conduct standard tests and measurements, and to conduct, analyze, and interpret experiments.<\/li><li>Function effectively as a member of a technical team.<\/li><li>Identify, analyze, and solve narrowly defined engineering technology problems.<\/li><li>Apply written, oral, and graphical communication in both technical and nontechnical environments; and identify and use appropriate technical literature.<\/li><li>Understand the need for and engage in self-directed continuing professional development.<\/li><li>Understand and be committed to addressing professional and ethical responsibilities, including a respect for diversity.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button btn btn--size-3\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/middlesexcc.emsicc.com\/programs\/surveying-engineering-technology-aas-degree\/185536?radius=&amp;region=20%20Mile%20Radius%20Around%20MCC\">Explore Careers and Salaries<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons\">\r\n  <div class=\"wp-block-button btn btn--size-3\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.course-catalog.com\/mcc\/C\/2024-2025\/degree\/103\">Course Requirements<\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prerequisites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must demonstrate Algebra I competency before taking courses in the major.
