{"id":605,"date":"2022-05-31T16:03:36","date_gmt":"2022-05-31T20:03:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-www.middlesexcc.edu\/academics\/?page_id=605"},"modified":"2022-06-06T11:10:47","modified_gmt":"2022-06-06T15:10:47","slug":"electrical-engineering-technology","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/middlesexcollege.edu\/academics\/engineering-and-technologies\/electrical-engineering-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"Electrical Engineering Technology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Graduates find employment opportunities in the design, manufacturing and maintenance of everything from bio-medical devices and robotics to consumer electronics and supercomputers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Graduates of the program will be able to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>apply the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of the discipline to narrowly defined engineering technology activities;<\/li><li>apply a knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering and technology to engineering technology problems that require limited application of principles but extensive practical knowledge;<\/li><li>conduct standard tests and measurements and to conduct, analyze, and interpret experiments;<\/li><li>function effectively as a member of a technical team;<\/li><li>analyze, solve and design solutions for well-defined problems;<\/li><li>apply written, oral and graphical communication in both technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature;<\/li><li>understand the need for and engage in self-directed continuing professional development;<\/li><li>understand and be committed to address professional and ethical responsibilities, including a respect for diversity;<\/li><li>apply circuit analysis and design, computer programming, associated software, analog and digital electronics, microcomputers and engineering standards to the building, testing, operation and maintenance of electrical\/electronic(s) systems; and<\/li><li>apply natural sciences and mathematics at or above the level of algebra and trigonometry to the building, testing, operation, and maintenance of electrical\/electronic systems.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button btn btn--size-3\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/middlesexcc.emsicc.com\/programs\/electrical-engineering-technology-aas-degree\/185536?radius=&amp;region=20%20Mile%20Radius%20Around%20MCC\">Explore Careers and Salaries<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons\">\r\n  <div class=\"wp-block-button btn btn--size-3\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.course-catalog.com\/mcc\/C\/2024-2025\/degree\/36\">Course Requirements<\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prerequisites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must demonstrate Algebra I competency before taking courses in the major.
