If English is not your best language, and if you have not completed four years of high school English courses in the United States, you will need to be proficient on the ESL Exam before taking the College Placement Exam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>College Placement Exam (Accuplacer)<\/strong>. All students must take the College Placement Exam unless they have received an exemption(s) determined by an admissions facilitator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Provide proof of high school graduation or GED<\/strong>. All applicants who attended a college outside of the United States must have their transcripts evaluated by an accredited third-party.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We strongly recommend and prefer the use of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WES<\/a>&nbsp;(World Education Services) and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ece.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ECE<\/a>&nbsp;(Educational Credential Evaluators).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cumulative GPA 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have&nbsp;<strong><em>completed 12 or more cumulative college credits<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(pass or fail), your college GPA will be used.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>College GPA calculation: If you have at least 12 completed college credits (pass or fail) within September 1, 2024 \u2013 December 18, 2026 (Fall 2024 \u2013 Fall 2026), a recalculated cumulative GPA will be used for the GPA calculation. If you do not have at least 12 completed college credits (pass or fail) within September 1, 2024 \u2013 December 18, 2026 (Fall 2024 \u2013 Fall 2026), a cumulative GPA will be used in the GPA calculation from all colleges attended.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have&nbsp;<strong><em>completed less than 12 cumulative college credits<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(pass or fail), your high school GPA (un-weighted) will be used.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"no-list\">If you do not have a high school cumulative GPA or 12 completed college credits, you must earn a college cumulative GPA with at least 12 completed college credits by the&nbsp;<strong>December 18, 2026&nbsp;<\/strong>deadline to be considered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A grade of&nbsp;C or&nbsp;better&nbsp;is&nbsp;required&nbsp;in both a lab Biology and Chemistry&nbsp;course<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The following courses must be completed prior to acceptance with a&nbsp;<strong>grade of C or better:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anatomy and Physiology I&nbsp;<em>(4 credits)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anatomy and Physiology II&nbsp;<em>(4 credits)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introductory Psychology&nbsp;<em>(3 credits)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English Composition I&nbsp;<em>(3 credits)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Life Span Development&nbsp;<em>(3 credits)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading bb-primary-1\">Program Curriculum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>*Prior learning experience credits<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who demonstrate a grade of C or better in a professional nursing course will receive two credits for NRB 135: Professional Nursing Issues and Trends. Students who hold a current, unencumbered LPN license are eligible to receive eight credits toward their degree requirements.
